THE WOODLANDS, Texas Isabelle F. (Ragland) Bickford, passed away June 6, 2007, after a long illness in The Woodlands, Texas. She was born Dec. 18, 1925, the daughter of Jackson and Isabel (Bancroft) Ragland. A woman of many talents, she was the creator of delicately crafted crocheted items, which adorn several homes of friends, family and churches. Famous for her culinary skills, she loved cooking for family and friends throughout the years. Flowers and plants were also a favorite hobby and her home was always decorated with abundant color. Likewise, she was a great friend to animals and her home never lacked for adoring pets. Isabelle was a loyal Boston Red Sox fan and was forever grateful to the 2004 Boston Red Sox for finally winning a World Series during her lifetime. May her heart rest in peace at Fenway. To those who knew her best, Isabelle was a woman of incredible strength and courage, due in most part to the almost seemingly over-powering stru-ggles and hardships that were the story of her life. The lessons of her life will continue to provide inspiration to family and friends for many years to come, and she will forever be in the hearts of those who loved her. She was predeceased by her parents; former husband, Roger Morin; husband, Donald Bickford; and daughter, Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Gibson. Isa-belle was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
