VAN BUREN – Ivan A. Beaulieu, 80, loving and devoted husband and father, died Friday, July 23, 2004, at a Van Buren healthcare facility after a short illness. He was born in Hamlin, Nov. 30, 1923, the son of Alexis and Adeline (Caron) Beaulieu. He was educated in local schools and spent all of his life in the area, where he worked for the B & A Railroad, the W.T. Grant Co., and as a receiving and shipping clerk for the Simplex Manufacturing Company. Ivan was a member of the League of the Sacred Heart, the Third Order of Mary, and the Knights of Columbus Council 1635 of Van Buren. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Arlene (Jacques) Beaulieu of Van Buren; one daughter, Sandra Boynton and her husband, Alan, of Eddington; one son, Peter Beaulieu and his wife, Mary, of Anderson, S.C.; two granddaughters, Stephanie Gilreath and her husband, Kevin, and Chanelle Beaulieu, all of Anderson, S.C.; one great-grandson, Mason Gilreath; two brothers, Lucien Beaulieu and his wife, Alice, of Neptune, N.J., Esperant Beaulieu and his wife, Omerine, of St. David; three sisters, Constance Pouliot and her husband, Armand, of Manchester, Conn.; Bridget Cote of Van Buren; Val Duplessis and her husband, Del, also of Van Buren. He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Angela Beaulieu, in 1949; and by a son, Stephen Beaulieu, in 1968; four brothers, Gilbert, Christian, Conrad and Laurier Beaulieu; and by one sister, Carmel Voisine. Relatives and friends may call 7-9 p.m. on Monday and from 9 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday at the Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 12 High St., Van Buren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren. Committal service and interment will be in the St. Bruno Cemetery.
