PRESQUE ISLE – Ivan Buckingham, 63, died Sunday, May 8, 2005, at a Caribou hospital. He was born March 27, 1942, in Presque Isle, the son of George and Mae (Ladner) Buckingham. He had been employed at Valshing and McCains as a truck driver. Mr. Buckingham raced horses statewide and loved farming and animals. He is survived by a son, Merle Buckingham and his fianc?e, Tina, of Presque Isle; one daughter, Terri Almcida and her husband, Allen, of North Providence, R.I.; four grandchildren, Jesse LaPort, Kaitlyn Buckingham, Jaron Buckingham and Isaiah Buckingham; two brothers, Graydon Buckingham of Washburn and Leon Buckingham of Ashland; three sisters, Sandra Conant of Fort Fairfield, Sharon Barclay and Electra Blodgett both of Easton; 14 nieces and nephews. He will be remembered by a special friend, Donna Butler of Limestone. He was predeceased by his fianc?e, Janet Bradstreet. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, May 13, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle with the Rev. Mark Hartley officiating. Relatives and friends may call from 12 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be in Estes Park Cemetery, Easton. At the families request please omit flowers.
