MADAWASKA – Jacqueline Deschaine, 66, died Nov. 23, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Jan. 21, 1939, in St. Agatha, daughter of Frederick and Margaret (Deschenes) Michaud. Jacqueline worked at the Gateway Motel in Madawaska and as a factory worker in Connecticut for many years. She is survived by three daughters, Linda Deschaine and Gwendolyn Gervais, both of Madawaska and Patricia Levesque of Van Buren; four sons, Remie and Leo Deschaine, both of Lewiston, Clifford Deschaine of Van Buren and Richard Deschaine of Madawaska; two sisters, Nancy Bernier of Glastonbury, Conn., Bernadette Maria Saporte of Manchester, Conn.; one brother, Patrick Michaud of Connecticut; 17 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Remie Deschaine. Friends and relatives may call 2-4 p.m. Saturday at the Daigle Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, monetary contributions would be appreciated to help defray funeral costs.
