CORINNA – Jacqueline Mullis, 81, passed away April 27, 2005. She was born Aug. 12, 1923, at Sherman Mills, a daughter of George and Pearle (Hamilton) Lane. She graduated from Sherman Mills High School as valedictorian of her class. Jackie married Elwood R. Mullis of Staceyville and moved to Corinna, where they raised their family. Jackie’s greatest joy was spending time with her beloved sons and their families. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Elwood; a son, Myron; a daughter, Janice; and a sister, Norma Morgan. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Dalton and Donna Mullis, Brent and Patty Mullis, George and Holly Mullis, and Debbie Mullis, all of Corinna; 10 grandchildren, Brian and wife, Liz Mullis, of Dover-Foxcroft, Jeff Mullis and Kellie Harris of St. Albans, Jennifer and husband, Jon Crosby, of Dexter, Matt and wife, Danielle Bagley, of Virginia, Brendan, Tristan, Jody, and Sarah Mullis, Joe and Katie Adams, all of Corinna; six great-grandchildren, EmmaRuth, Elijah, Caleb, Madelynn, Jonathan, and Rachel. Jackie also leaves behind many good friends in Corinna and Sherman Mills. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, May 2, at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna, with Pastor Matthew Bagley officiating. Following the service, friends and family are invited to Jackie and Elwood’s home on the Corinna Center Road. Interment will be in the family lot in Sherman Mills.
