HOULTON and HAYNESVILLE – Jacqueline Shorey, 57, died Dec. 9, 2005. She was born Feb. 26, 1948, at Danforth, the daughter of Clarence W. and Olive May (Ouellette) Spinney. Jackie was a graduate of East Grand High School, Danforth and attended North Maine College. She was a school bus driver for MSAD No. 29 and was employed by Houlton Regional Hospital as a phlebotomist for over 12 years. She was a 20-year captain of Houlton class C softball team that won the 1994 state championship and went on to complete in the nationals. Jackie is survived by her husband, Mike Shorey; and her son, Timothy Shorey; one grandson, Noah Grant, all of Houlton; one sister, Judy Helms of Bossier City, La.; one niece, Katrina Lincecum of Shreveport, La.; one nephew, Rev. Christopher Helms of Pittsburgh, Pa. She was predeceased by her parents. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday, Dunn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Revs. David Tuttle and Christopher Helms officiating. Spring interment will be in the Haynesville Riverside Cemetery.
