MILLINOCKET – James N. Thibodeau, 69, died unexpectedly May 26, 2005, at Millinocket. He was born Jan. 5, 1936, in Newport, the son of Evelyn Thibodeau. Jim attended St. Martin’s School and graduated from Stearns High School in 1953. After graduation from high school, Jim enlisted in the U.S. Marines. He returned to Millinocket where he would work at Great Northern Paper Company as a machinist. After his retirement from Great Northern Paper Company, Jim began a career in furniture upholstery. Jim was an excellent upholsterer and his business would keep him busy for many years. Jim was a long time member and past exalted ruler of B.P.O.E. Lodge No. 1521. He is survived by three sisters, Loretta Tapley, Lorraine and her husband, James Hartley, and Shirley and her husband, TeeWee Walsh, all of Millinocket; his children, David, Lori, Lisa, Cheryl, a special daughter, Shya, and many nieces, nephews; great-nieces, great-nephews, and one great-great-nephew. Jim also leaves very special friends, Red Kittrick, Ken Goddard, John Dicentes, and Paul Andrick. Graveside services will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 2, 2005, at Millinocket Cemetery.
