MERRILL – James W. “Jim-my” Botting, 83, died Dec. 29, 2007, in Houlton. He was born May 18, 1924, in Houlton, the son of Ralph and Vera (Nickerson) Botting. Jimmy enjoyed hunting, fishing, jeeping and going to camp with the boys. He is survived by one daughter, Linda and her husband, David Mulberry, of Port-land; two stepchildren, Bertha and her husband, William Sirois, of Hartford, Conn., and Harland and his wife, Jeanette Tibbitts, of Torrington, Conn.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Sherry and her husband, Gordon Morton, of Oakfield; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Ralph “Twig” and Vera; his wife, Fannie; three brothers, Merle, Ralph “Barney” and Waldo; and one sister, Una Schools. A graveside memorial service will be held in the spring at Merrill Cemetery. Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home, Houlton.
