HOULTON – Jan Rae Davis, 50, passed away July 9, 2006, at a local hospital. She was born Jan. 14, 1956, in Lincoln, the daughter of Elliot David and Jacquelyn (Davis) Roach. Jan worked for nine years at Aroostook Home and Health Services where she was loved and cherished by a lot of people whose lives she touched. She was predeceased by her father, Elliot Davis. She is survived by her daughter, Kelby Davis of Albany, N.Y.; her mother, Jacquelyn Roach of Oakland; her companion of 14 years, Wayne McGary of Houlton; and her stepfather, Peter Roach of Orient. Jan Rae will be missed by her extended McGary, Tarr and Currier families, and of course her cat, Sammo, and numerous friends. There will be no service at Jan’s request. There will be a celebration of life at Wayne and Jan’s home to be announced at a later day. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Jan to the American Cancer Society, One Main Street, Suite 300, Topsham, ME 04086.
