GUILFORD – Jane F. Ward, 66, died July 28, 2006, at C.A. Dean Hospital in Greenville. She was born Oct. 5, 1939, in New Jersey, daughter of Carl and Sarah (Frazier) Nelson. Jane was an active member of the Guilford United Methodist Church and was co-director of the food cupboard. She was involved with Sunday school and also taught in the public school system in the Guilford area for many years. She enjoyed her family and friends, tending to her flowers and the family camp at Wilson Pond. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Allyn R. Ward Sr. of Guilford; two sons, Allyn R. Ward Jr. and his wife, Kathy, of Colorado and Thomas Ward and his wife, Shari, of Masardis; six grandchildren, Isaac, Sarah, Caleb, Ethan, Amos and Peter; a sister, Isabel Jarrett and her husband, Dick and their son, Carl, all of Freeport. She was predeceased by her parents and a grandson, Zachary Ward. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 31, at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 21 Oak St., Guilford. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Guilford United Methodist Church with Pastor Dan Bollen officiating. Burial will be in the Greenville Cemetery.
