BUCKSPORT and CASTINE Jane (Faulkner) Fisher, 82, succumbed to pneumonia 7 a.m. June 19, 2007, at Blue Hill Memorial Hospital. Jane resided with and was under the care of her daughter, Susan Fisher and Carol Hamilton of Bucksport. She moved to Bucksport in the summer of 2003 due to a Parkinson’s related illness. Previously of Grafton, Mass., Jane was a resident of Castine since 1979. She married William Fisher “Willo” of Weston, Mass., March 22, 1947. She is survived by her three children, Richard Fisher and his wife, Karen Abbott, of Manassas, Va., William Fisher and his wife, Janet, of Holden, Mass., and Susan Fisher and Carol Hamilton of Bucksport; four grandchildren, Amy, Andrew, Julia, and Christina; and her sister, Polly Jackson of Lincoln, Mass. During Jane’s last decade, she fought cancer and a debilitating Parkinson’s related illness with grace and aplomb. She was able to enjoy life right up to the end. There will be a memorial service to celebrate Jane’s life 2 p.m. July 29, at Trinitarian Congregational Church, Main Street, Castine.
