MILLINOCKET – Janet L. “Jan” Ouellette, 83, died at a local healthcare facility Thursday, July 28, 2005. She was born Jan. 6, 1922, in Millinocket, the daughter of George and Janet L. (Skinner) Robbins. Mrs. Ouellette was a lifelong resident of Millinocket where she was a member of the First Congregational Church of Millinocket. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Ouellette, who died May 18, 1999. Jan enjoyed her camp on South Twin Lake immensely and was totally dedicated to her family. She is survived by two daughters, Brenda and husband, Armand Colombo of Millinocket, and Beth and husband, Raymond Nadeau of Brunswick; one sister, Pauline Stewart of Oregon; her grandchildren, Arthur Larson of York, Ann Fiske, Carol Mackin, and Jan Markie, all of Millinocket, Jon Nadeau of North Yarmouth, Joy Shaw of Arrowsic, and Jay Nadeau of Windham; great-grandchildren, Caroline Larson and Victoria Fiske, Ethan and Tate Nadeau, Taylor and Brogan Shaw, Garret Fraysier, Colby and Hannah Nadeau. She was predeceased by brothers, George “Jake” Robbins, Cecil “Honk” Robbins, Ronald “Skipper” Robbins, and Hollis “Knobbie” Robbins; and a sister, Muriel “Mac” McNally. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2005, at Millinocket Cemetery. The Rev. Lynn Bradley, pastor of the First Congregational Church of Millinocket will officiate.
