Jared Grindle will be remembered daily by his father and mother, Mike and Kelly, his true-friend and sister, Tessa and her boyfriend, Josh Gott, Jared’s girlfriend, Nickie Smith, his grandparents, Roy and Peggy Clements and Wayne and Edna Grindle, Aunt Cathy Crosby and children, Rob and Melissa and their daughter, Libby, Matt and Angie, and Annie; Aunt Michele Raymond and children, best friend and cousin, Geoffrey and Erik, Uncle Pete and Aunt Sue Grindle and cousins, Abigail and Sam; Aunt Gail Cousins and cousins, Haley, Adam, and Lily; Uncle Greg and Aunt Kelly Saunders and cousins, Hannah, Alex, and Nick, along with hundreds of friends from Brooksville, Bucksport, Deer Isle, and Blue Hill from 2-92 years old. When the Old Man’s trap comes over the side full of hard-shells, a red and black buoy bobs on the waves or a white whale glides by the boat, Jared will be remembered. When his friends find a deep mud puddle and gravel pits around the bend or a Ford truck with a Yellow Lab chirps down the road, Jared will be remembered. When the boys on the ice pull an 18” brown trout through the hole, the 8 pointer snorts at the hunter, or the fields have fresh snow waiting to be crossed with tracks, Jared will be remembered. When his cousin hits a line drive over the second baseman’s head or the lineman holds his position, Jared will be remembered. Whoever knew Jared will remember him in different ways, and at different times, but we will all remember him and smile. A service of remembrance will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004, at the Bucksport Middle School Auditorium, 100 Miles Lane, Bucksport, with Pastor Peter Remick officiating.
