THORNDIKE and RANGELEY Jarod W. Trafton, our beloved son, brother, grandson, and best friend left this world Saturday, July 29, 2006, for another grand journey amongst the stars. He blessed us when he came into this world Oct. 10, 1983, the son of proud parents, Jeff and Amy. Jarod attended Mount View High School and had lived in Rangeley for the last few years working along side his Uncle Bruce, designing and creating beautiful homes. He was active in the Rangeley Friends of the Arts. Performing on stage came naturally for Jarod, as he was quite a character. He was our class clown, hellion, goofball, peacemaker, mediator and sense of humor. He touched everyone he met and loved life to the fullest. Jarod leaves to carry on his memory to his dad, Jeff Trafton of Thorndike; his mummy, Amy Fowler and his stepdad, Jeff, of Thorndike; his sister, Amanda Gurney and her husband, Jacob, of Thorndike; his idolizing sister, Lindsay Trafton of Thorndike; his special stepbrother and stepsister, Brandon Fowler of Bangor and Amanda Fowler of Unity; his maternal grandparents, Dennis and Sally Lindsay of Albion; his paternal grandparents, Carl and Lois Trafton of Wellington; aunts and uncles, Gail Trafton of Waterville, Bruce and Deanne Trafton of Rangeley, Scott Trafton of New York, Julie and Richard Prentiss of Skowhegan, Jeff and Gayle Lindsay of Albion, and Lenny Gilman of Norridgewock; his cousins, Scott, Jessica, Megan, Carl, Zac, Breann, Brian, Sophie and Katie; his nephew, Caden; and so many other great family members. Jarod will also be sadly missed by his very best friend, Donald York of Knox, who he journeyed with to Florida and everywhere else and back. Gracie, his beloved dog will also be lost without Jarod. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, at Lawry Brothers Funeral Home, 107 Main St., Fairfield, where a funeral service will take place 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 3. Burial will be after at Center Cemetery, Thorndike. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jarod’s memory may be made to Rangeley Friends of the Arts, P.O. Box 333, Rangeley, ME 04970 or your local Humane Society. Arrangements are with Lawry Brothers Funeral Home, 107 Main St., Fairfield. Condolences may be expressed at www.lawrybrothers.com “Life is a journey, not a guided tour; I’ll be seeing you somewhere over the rainbow.”
