HOUSTON, Texas – Jeanne W. Hanten, 80, formerly of New Port Richey, Fla., died Monday, June 28, 2004, in Houston, Texas. She was born in Island Falls, and came to New Port Richey, Fla., in 1980 from Tulsa, Okla. She was a registered nurse and was the regional director of Disaster Services for the Southeast Region of the American Red Cross and a graduate of Tulsa University. She was an active member of the Universal Unitarian Church of Clearwater, Fla. Survivors include her brothers, Vaughn Walker Jr., John Walker, Warren Walker; sisters, Sally Cyr, Connie Hollis, Ann Holt; daughters, Karen Hanten and Gerri Hanten; son, Jeff Hanten; and four grandchildren. The memorial service will be in Island Falls.
