CARIBOU – Jeffrey A. St. John, 49, died Dec. 7, 2003, at his Caribou residence following a long illness. He was born in Limestone, May 16, 1954, the son of Clifford and Olive (Philbrick) St. John. He was a graduate of Caribou High School, attended Northern Maine Technical College as well as Eastern Maine Technical College and received a bachelor’s of science degree from the University of Maine at Presque Isle. Jeffrey was employed by the Braden Cinema in Presque Isle for more than 17 years. For the past five years he was employed by Wal-Mart of Presque Isle and was also a substitute teacher until his illness forced him to stop. Jeffrey was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. Several years ago he took the trip of a lifetime and took a hunting safari to Africa. He loved spending time with his family especially his nieces and nephews. Surviving in addition to his mother of Caribou, are five brothers and two sisters-in-law, Leo St. John of Woodland, Arthur and Lorraine Philbrick of Augusta, Michael St. John of Gardner, Clifford and Ginny St. John of Old Lyme, Conn., and Peter St. John of Layton, Utah; one sister and brother-in-law, Dolores and Donald Jandreau of Caribou; many nieces and nephews. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the Rev. Jean- Paul Labrie, pastor, officiating in a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in the Woodland Cemetery.
