SEARSPORT – Jeffrey L. Curtis, 45, died May 3, 2008, in Searsport. He was born Jan. 6, 1963, in Bel-fast, son of Reginald and Ann (Marriner) Curtis. He graduated from Searport High School and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Mariner’s Lodge No. 68 AF & AM, Searsport. Jeff enjoyed the outdoors, the water, the mountains and all the animals. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and a very giving person and great father. He is survived by his father and mother of Searsport; one daughter, Kelli Curtis of Hebron; one brother, Reginald Curtis Jr. and Carrie Ward of Stockton Springs; two sisters, Joanne Hutchinson and her husband, Dale, of Stockton Springs and Regina Seamans and her husband, Raymond, of Prospect; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. He will also be remembered by many close friends. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Howard Jones for all his care. You are my guidance when I fall off the path, you are my courage that puts me back on track. You are my light when I’m trapped in the dark and not even this could break us apart. Visitation for family and friends will be held 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, at Young Funeral Home, 31 West Main St., Searsport, where Masonic services will be held 4 p.m. with the officers of Mariner’s Lodge officiating. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Searport. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Shriner’s Hospital, care of Anah Temple, P.O. Box 735, Bangor, ME 04402.
