PERRY – Jessie A. Fickett, 81, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, at Calais Regional Hospital. Jessie was born June 21, 1926, in Lubec, daughter of the late Byron and Laura (McLaughlin) Ackley. For many years, she was employed as a stitcher for Health Tex, Falmouth. Jessie enjoyed gardening, and watching the birds and squirrels at her home in Perry. She was predeceased by her husband, Clayton Fickett; her son, Dana Fickett; and a brother, Clyde Ackley. Surviving are her daughter, Sharon Cannon and her husband, Stephen, of Eastport; four grandchildren, Stevie Cannon and his wife, Emily, of Bangor, Angela Cannon and her companion, Bill Moir, of Freeport, Denise Harris and her husband, Shawn, of Perry, and Chrissy Perry and her husband, Dennis, of Whitneyville; and three great-grandchildren, Max James Cannon, and Jodie and Alex Harris. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Bayview Cemetery, Perry.
