ROANOKE, Va. – Jessie Nash Puckett, 73, died Friday, Sept. 9, 2005. She was predeceased in death by her parents, George and Laura Nash; brother, George Nash Jr.; sister, Edith Nash Moore. Surviving are her husband, Charles H. Puckett; children, Kathleen Francis and husband, Dennis, of Suffolk, Va., Laura Moore and husband, Tedd, of Alton, Elizabeth Hovey and her husband, George, of Roanoke, Va., David Puckett and wife, Laurel, of Hermon; sister, Nedra McKinnon and husband, Paul, of Bangor; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2005, at Westside Church of Christ, 1705 Starview Drive, Salem, with Don Pettit and Dennis Francis officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Oakey’s North Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to American Red Cross victims of Katrina Relief Fund.
