BREWER – Joe E. Potter of Brewer passed away Dec. 13, 2005, at a Bangor healthcare facility. He was born Aug. 9, 1953, in Blue Hill, the son of Richard Potter and Evelyn (Sanborn) Hutchinson. He was a 1971 graduate of Searsport District High School. Joe worked for many years in the poultry industry in Belfast, with Bayside Enterprises. He was predeceased by his parents, stepfather, Everett Hutchinson; granddaughter, Mallory Goguen; and father-in -law, George Wescott Sr. Joe is survived by his wife, Barbara Potter of Brooks; six children, Shannon (Wescott) Brathwaite and husband, Michael, of Winslow, Mary Potter and fiance, Kris Lessard, of Vassalboro, Georgia Potter of Brooks, Clyde Potter of Brooks, Sarah Potter and fiance, Gus Dunphy, of Belfast and Joe Potter of Brooks; three grandchildren, Alex White, Clarissa Lessard, and Malissa Brathwaite; siblings, Lucy (Jane) Pikul and husband, Stanley, of Peabody, Mass., Everett and Roz Hutchinson of Belfast, Dale and Jo Hutchinson of Stockton Springs, Laurie and Gary Rhodes of Waterboro; in-laws, Lloyd and Mary Clark of Brooks, George Wescott Jr. of Gardiner, Sarah and Harry Howe of Knox, Clyde Clark of Brooks, and Doris and Eric Reed of Searsport; ex-sister-in-law, Betty Harriman. Joe is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews in the New England area. A memorial service will be announced by the family at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast.
