FORT KENT – John Belanger, 37, died unexpectedly March 13, 2004, in Presque Isle. He was born May 30, 1966, in Fort Kent, the son of Edgar and Greta (Levesque) Belanger. John was an avid outdoorsman, one of his favorite past times was working on small gas engines. In addition to both his parents of Fort Kent, he is survived by his wife of 10 years, Rita (Lizotte) Belanger; his son, Jesse John Belanger; and daughter, Kristina Belanger, all of Saint Francois, New Brunswick; seven brothers and sisters, Herman and his wife, Corinne Belanger, of Salem, N.H., Linda and her husband, Gaston Pelletier, of Clair, New Brunswick, Lisa Plourde and her friend, Shawn Madore, of Soldier Pond, Tina and her husband, Mike Laurin, of Lowell, Mass., Peter Belanger of Fort Kent, Gerry and his wife, Christine Belanger, of Fort Kent, Gary and his fianc‚e, Angel, of Fort Kent; and 13 nieces and nephews. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial with full military honors will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent, with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in John’s memory may be made to the John Belanger Funeral Fund, care of Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, 14 E. Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743.
