DEBLOIS – John D. Harrington died Aug. 8, 2008, at Togus VA Hospital, Augusta. John was born July 21, 1935, in Bangor, son of Raymond R. and Doris E. (Wilson) Harrington. He was predeceased by his wife of 35 years, Helen (Francis) Harrington, March 22, 2005. He is survived by his son, Mark and wife, Margaret Harrington, of Deblois; stepson, Greg and wife, Irene Lewis, of Trenton; stepdaughters, Kathy and husband, Mark Lossing, of Hawaii and Debbie and husband, Jack Gilley, of Manset; along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. John was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked as an over the road truck driver, a mechanic and in construction. He was also a selectman for the town of Deblois for a number of years and a member of Masons Lodge No. 88 for 51 years. At his request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Health and Counseling Services, Bangor, Machias and Ellsworth.
