DEXTER – John D. Katsuranis, 91, formerly of Sherman, Conn., and Westfield, Mass., died June 14, 2007, at a health care facility in Dexter. He was born Feb. 16, 1916, in Cornwall Bridge, Conn., son of Avangelo and Mary (Mason) Katsuranis. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After the Navy, he worked for much of his life for the Army Corps of Engineers. After retirement he and his wife moved to Dexter, where he enjoyed water skiing until the age of 85. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy (Bartlett) Katsuranis. He is survived by a son and his wife, Terry and Donna Katsuranis of Brookfield, Conn. There will be no public services at this time.
