WINTERPORT – John Edward Moran, 73, husband of Maryanna (Fernald) Moran died Feb. 28, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Oct. 13, 1931, in Bangor, the son of Richard and Mabel (Ogilvie) Moran. John graduated from Winterport High School, where he was active in sports. He was an engineer for the Maine Central Railroad, retiring with 29 years of service. John coached and followed little league baseball for many years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Chuck and wife, Kiana Moran, Tim and wife, Kathy Moran, all of Winterport; three grandchildren, Melody Tracy, Megan Moran, Patrick “Pat” Moran; two great-grandchildren, Keaton and Marnie Tracy; many nieces and nephews. A private gathering will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Foley Funeral Service, Bangor.
