GUILFORD – John F. Goodreau Jr., 79, died Feb. 8, 2005, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. He was born May 25, 1925, in Brownville, the son of John and Doris (Marston) Goodreau Sr. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and worked for many years for Moosehead Manufacturing Company in Monson. While living in Sangerville, John served for many years as a fireman for the Sangerville Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, Elaine (Hall) Goodreau of Guilford; three sons, Dennis Goodreau of Sangerville, Peter Goodreau of Monson, and James Goodreau of North Carolina; three daughters, Susan Williams of Sangerville, Debbie Watt of Abbot, and Cindy Rider of Monson; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Vivian St. Louis of Sangerville; a brother, Galen Goodreau of Guilford; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Steven Goodreau. There will be no public services at this time. Spring burial will be in the Lawn Cemetery in Guilford.
