DEXTER – John H. McCoy, 58, died unexpectedly Jan. 23, 2004 at an Ellsworth hospital. John was born Aug. 25, 1945, in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, the eldest child in a family of 12. He spent most of his life driving truck with a passion for the open road. Besides his wife, Sharron, his truck was his life. He was very faithful to both and a very loving and caring man. John is survived by his loving wife, Sharron McCoy of Dexter; several brothers and sisters, James McCoy of Dover-Foxcroft, Kenneth McCoy and Alfred McCoy, both of Bangor, Gordon McCoy of New Brunswick, Canada, Mary Coutier of Mississippi, Darlene Brooker of Millinocket, and Louise McCoy of New Brunswick; two daughters, Heather and Harriet, one from Florida and one from California; stepdaughter, Kimberly Boutilier of Dexter; two stepsons, Edward of Princeton and David Ward of New Hampshire; several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, James McCoy Sr. and Mary McCoy, of Canada, John was predeceased by three brothers, Andrew, Frazier and Roy; and a sister, Marjorie. John McCoy was a good man who is greatly loved and sadly missed by all who knew him.
