CALAIS, BANGOR and ELLSWORTH – John S. Peakall Jr., 53, died Oct. 24, 2003, at a Bangor hospital after a courageous battle with diabetes. Born in Calais, June 20, 1950, the son of John and Margaret Tupper Peakall Sr. He was employed for 22 years by Georgia-Pacific Corp. of Baileyville, retiring in 1999. John enjoyed traveling, living on Love Lake, and fishing. Surviving are his mother, Margaret (Tupper) Peakall of Calais; one sister, Beverly M. Barlow and her husband, Timothy, of Ellsworth; two brothers, Myron J. Peakall of Bangor, Jeffrey W. Peakall and his wife, Sheila K., of Calais; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, 2003, at the First Baptist Church, Milltown, with Pastor Bob Hinton officiating. Burial will follow in the Calais Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by the Scott-Wilson Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais.
