CARIBOU – John Saucier, 87, died Jan. 20, 2005, at Caribou. He was born Jan. 27, 1917, in Van Buren, the son of Henry and Rose (King) Saucier. Mr. Saucier was employed by several area potato growers and was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He married Olive (Searles) Saucier Jan. 17, 1942. Surviving in addition to his wife of more than 53 years, Olive of Caribou; are two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Diane Saucier of Caribou, and Bobby and Brenda Saucier of Fort Fairfield; two daughters and a son-in-law, Joan and William Wade of Dover, Del., and Thelma Ledden of Augusta; two brothers, Octave “Joe” and Lawrence Saucier, both of Fort Fairfield; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, from the Chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou, with Fr. David Raymond, officiating. Interment will be in the New Holy Rosary Cemetery.
