EDDINGTON – John T. Williams, 82, husband of the late Anna Lise (Neilsen) Williams, died April 16, 2005, at his Eddington home. He was born Aug. 5, 1922, in Cairo, Ill., the son of John and Emma (Armbruster) Williams. John was a graduate of Falls Overfield High School. He was employed with the Rexall Drug Co. for 40 years, most of which was as a sales representative in the New England area and was also employed by Vernon Corp. from 1984 until the present time. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, receiving five Bronze Stars, a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Greater Brewer Council No. 6728 and a communicant of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Brewer, and the first extraordinary minister for the Diocese of Portland. He is survived by one son, Thomas P. Williams of New Bedford, Mass.; a niece, Mrs. Patti Ann Keats and her husband, Stanley, of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and a nephew, William Wolfe and his wife, Charlotte, of Pembroke, Fla.; three nieces, Lisa Thysessen, Hanne Rasmussen, Mette Skovbjerg, all of Denmark; nephew, Klaus Rasmussen of Vienna, Austria; and good friends, Mr. Stephen Russell and family, and Mr. Martin Somers and family. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his daughter, Joann Williams; two brothers, Chester and Jimmy Williams. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Brewer with the Rev. Joel Cyr, pastor, celebrant. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor.
