ISLAND FALLS – Jonathan Anderson, 36, died in the loving company of his family, Jan. 14, 2004, at Houlton. He was born Jan. 10, 1968, in Houlton. Jonathan was a fun loving and outgoing dad to his daughter, Isabella Abigail of Lewiston. He was an avid fisherman and could be seen any summer day around the Mattawamkeag River or Presumpscot Cove reeling in a Salmon or trout. He grew up in Island Falls and attended S.A.C.S. and graduated from Bangor High School in 1986. In his youth, Jonathan took part in many activities, like running track for Hampden Academy and attended youth group at Oakfield Pentecostal Church. As an adult he had many odd jobs, his favorite being a vegetable gardener in North Windham. Jonathan was gifted in making friends from all walks of life. In addition to his wife, Brenda of Island Falls and Isabella; he is survived by his father, Gary Anderson of Bangor; and his mother, Mary Grant of Island Falls; his paternal grandmother, Madeline Anderson of Skowhegan and Stuart “Dad” Reed of Portland; sister, Sylva Gallagher and her family, Keith and Clarissa of Sherman Station; a sister, Karen Rodgerson and family, Kevin, Patrick and Rena of Sherman Station; brother, Elery Grant and his wife, Grace, of Island Falls; sister, Jane Grant of Herndon, Va.; brother, Mike Grant of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two special pets, Nana-dog and Darby; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; close friends, Lennie, Liz, Jimmy, Felix, Dave and Raymond. The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice of Aroostook, Hospice Volunteers, Jackie Desmond, Audie Horn Jr. PA-C, Madigan Estate Nursing Home staff, all whom provided expert and loving care to Jon and his family. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday with Chris Drew officiating. Spring interment will be in Oakfield Cemetery.
