ARUNDEL – Jordan Ashley McKendry, 19, of Curtis Road, died late Friday evening, Oct. 20, 2006, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born Sept. 7, 1987, in Tucson, Ariz., the daughter of William Royden Joseph McKendry and Kim Lee (Currie) Jones. She was educated locally, and graduated from Thornton Academy, Class of 2005. She was employed as a sales associate at Linens and Things, Biddeford Crossing. Jordan was an independent spirit who knew how to make people smile. Family and friends will fondly remember her great sense of humor. Her parents say that, like most teenagers, she simply loved shopping. She also enjoyed soccer and softball. Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Kim and Charles Jones of Arundel; her father and stepmother, William and Tina McKendry of Rogers, Ohio; her sister, Tavia McKendry of Arundel; maternal grandparents, Robert William and Mary Ann Currie of Kennebunk; paternal grandparents, William and Margaret McKendry of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Eben and Irene Jones of Weirs-dale, Fla.; maternal great-grandmothers, Josephine Hand of Hodgdon, Faye Currie of Niamo, British Columbia, Canada; paternal great-grand-parents, Joe and Evelyn Tuvvel of Indianapolis, Ind.; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Visiting hours will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer St., Kennebunk, where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24.
