GREENVILLE – Joseph Eugene Magee Sr., 88, died April 2, 2005, at a Greenville healthcare facility. He was born Feb. 13, 1917, in Machias, a son of Alton and Edna (Johnson) Magee. At the age of 3, he moved with his family to Greenville, where he resided for the rest of his life. He will be remembered as a Registered Maine Guide and as a foreman at Atlas Plywood Mills in Greenville. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary (Ross) Magee, on Dec. 21, 1992. He is survived by his children, Edna LaBrecque of Greenville, Mary Lee Stevenson of Dumfries, Va., and Joseph Magee Jr. of Augusta; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, at the Greenville American Legion Hall. A graveside funeral and committal service will be held at the family lot at Greenville Cemetery, later in the spring. Memorial donations may be made to the C. A. Dean Nursing Home, P.O.
