SOUTHWEST HARBOR – Joseph “Joe” Calvin Trafton, 92, died Jan. 10, 2006, at a Bar Harbor healthcare facility. He was born June 9, 1913, in Blaine, the son of George and Resse (Collins) Trafton. Joe worked part-time, as a projectionist at the Park Theater for 40 years. He also worked for Henry Hinckley Company as a cabinetmaker for 40 years and after he retired he worked as a caretaker for many summer estates. He was a past master and treasurer of Tremont No. 77 Masonic Lodge for many years. Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Priscilla (Mitchell) Trafton; his son, Paul Joseph Trafton and wife, Elizabeth, of Wayland, Mass.; one brother, Paul Trafton and wife, Beatrice, of Bristol, Conn.; two grandchildren, John Joseph Trafton of Wayland, Mass. and Anne Trafton of Boston, Mass. and many nieces and nephews. Graveside memorial services will be held in the spring. Contributions in Joe’s memory may be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church, P.O.
