SOUTHWEST HARBOR – Joseph L. Klausky, 93, died Jan. 16, 2007, at a Bar Harbor health care facility. He was born June 3, 1913, in Taunton, Mass., the son of Onofry and Annie (Gositza) Klausky. Joseph bought and sold lobsters from Newfoundland to Florida for 50 years. In his later years, he enjoyed golfing, snowmobiling and four wheeling on the airline or the Stud Mill Road. He is survived by three sons, Wallace Klausky of Venice, Fla., Allan Klausky of Southwest Harbor and Joe Klausky Jr. of Daytona Beach, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Robert, David, Karen, May, Adam, Pamila, Matthew and Melanie; and three great-grandchildren, Paige, Cameron and James. Joseph was predeceased by his beloved wife of 67 years, Miriam (Higgins) Klausky; and a son, Michael “Mike” Klausky of Southwest Harbor. Friends are invited to call 3-5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, at Jordan-Fernald, 1139 Main St., Mount Desert. Spring interment will be at Mount Height Cemetery, Southwest Harbor.
