LEE – Joseph L. Lydon, 77, husband of Candace (Baldwin) Lydon, died July 9, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Sept. 22, 1926, in Portland, the son of Michael and Grace (Hanlon) Lydon. Joseph was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He was a member of VFW Post No. 7409, Mattawamkeag, Pine Tree Lodge, AF & AM, of Mattawamkeag, and Anah Temple Shrine, Bangor. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. In addition to his wife, Candace, he is survived by two sons, Dennis of Raymond, N.H., and Mark of Durham; a sister, Mary Kimball of South Portland; three granddaughters; one grandson; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 17, 2004, at Mattawamkeag Cemetery, with the Rev. Myles Cyr officiating. Arrangements with Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.
