PRESQUE ISLE – Joseph Patrick F. Proulx, 88, died Thursday, April 19, 2007, at Maine Veterans’ Home, Caribou. He was born July 28, 1918, in Fairville, New Brunswick, the son of Joseph and Marie Louise (Nollet) Proulx. Pat graduated from Ashland High School in 1937. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II through the years of 1942-1946. After the war Pat attended the Madison Institute. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Julienne Spahn Proulx, in 1991; and a sister, Delores LeBlanc of Sheridan in 1972. He is survived by his wife, Rowena (Page) of Presque Isle; a daughter, Michelle Schaller and her husband, Conrad, of Ely, Nev.; a granddaughter, Verona Schaller, of Ely, Nev.; a nephew, Louis Spahn of Florida; a niece, Claire Thibodeau of Caribou; stepsons, Roland Duprey and his wife, Judy, of Caribou and Robert Duprey and his wife, Anita, of Presque Isle. A memorial Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, April 23, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Presque Isle, with the Rev. Ray Morency, celebrant. Interment will take place at a later date at Palm Memorial Park, Las Vegas. Those who wish to make donations in Pat’s memory to the Northern Maine Veterans’ Cemetery, 37 Lombard St., Caribou, ME 04736.
