OLD TOWN – Joseph S. Francis, 68, passed away Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004, at a Bangor nursing facility. He was born July 27, 1936, in Old Town the son of the late Mary Louise Francis. Joseph served in the U.S. Marine Corps for three years and nine months, and enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Old Town VFW. Friends may call 2 p.m. Monday, until time of the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday, at the St. Ann’s Catholic Church, on Indian Island, Old Town with the Rev. Paul Kerns celebrant. Immediately following the mass the committal will be conducted at the Tribal Cemetery on Indian Island, Old Town.
