OLD TOWN – June C. St. Clair, 79, passed away Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004, at a Howland healthcare facility surrounded by her family, following a long illness. She was born June 5, 1925, in Milford, a daughter of the late John and Marie Elizabeth (Bishop) Bouchard. June worked at the University of Maine for many years. She liked to crochet, attend her garden, and play the organ. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella. June was extremely proud of her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. She is survived by and will be sadly missed by son, James Jones and his wife, Helen, of Greenbush; daughter, Rose Marie Sturgeon and her husband, Frederick, of Old Town; five grandchildren, Christopher Jones, Burnham Jones, Danielle Printz and her husband, Jamie, Rhonda Sturgeon, and Michelle Sturgeon; great-granddaughter, Brianna Jones; sisters, Pauletta Van Horn, Betty Michaud and her husband, Francis, Maguerita Easler and her husband, Guy, Patricia Kane and her husband, Walter, Claudette Townsend and her husband, John, Ramona Gallant and her husband, Paul; brother, Frank Bouchard and his wife, Diane; a special brother-in-law, Michael Salvato; sister-in-law, Lena Bouchard; special nieces and nephews, Dianne Gallant and her husband, Al, Michael Salvato and his wife, Brenda; and several other nieces and nephews. The family extends a very special thanks to the Cummings Health Care Facility for the loving and caring manner they provided unconditionally to our mother, especially caregivers Heather, Linda, and Dorian. June was predeceased by her sister, Ester St. Heart; very special sister, Genevieve Salvato; and brothers Leo, Jeff, and Bobby Bouchard. She was also predeceased by her grandson, Anthony Jones; and sister-in-law, Joan Bouchard. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, where the Daughters of Isabella will conduct a prayer service at 7:30. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Old Town with the Rev. Normand Richard celebrant. Burial will follow immediately in St. Joseph Cemetery in Old Town. A luncheon and continued fellow-ship will be held at the Holy Family Parish Hall following committal services.
