NEWBURY, N.H. – Joseph Zephirin Lizotte, 87, died Friday, March 23, 2007, of natural causes at New London Hospital. He was born in Madawaska, son of Victor and Azeline (Michaud) Lizotte. After graduating valedictorian of his high school, he attended Bates College. Mr. Lizotte served in the U.S. Air Force for 30 years, where he traveled extensively throughout the world, settling in Newbury, N.H., in the 1970s. Throughout his life he had many interests and hobbies. He loved spending time gardening, cooking, hiking, skiing, reading and traveling. He is survived by his wife, Katherine (VanNostrand) Lizotte of Newbury, N.H.; two daughters, Linda Lazar of California and Kathy Vadnere of New Jersey; a son, Jeffrey Lizotte of Bow, N.H.; six grandchildren, Josh Corbett, Elizabeth and Nicole Lizotte, Allison and Jessica Lazar and Priya Vadnere; and two great-grandchildren, Brooke and Connor Corbett. There will be no calling hours. Memorial services will be held this summer at the discretion of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Meals on Wheels, P.O.
