BANGOR – Joshua Nima Zowghi, 24, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, March 18, 2007. He was born Nov. 7, 1982, to SueEllen M. (Parker) and Jamshid Zowghi. Josh attended Bangor schools, where he received his diploma, April 30, 2001. He made many friends at his various places of employment, Circuit City; Wilson’s Leather; Harmon’s Tire, Ellsworth; and Tire Warehouse, Bangor, Brewer, Scarborough; and most recently as manager at the Tire Warehouse branch in Skowhegan. At any family gatherings, Josh was always the first one in the backyard challenging all the children to a game of football, whiffle ball, basketball or baseball. He also enjoyed sitting down with his family for a friendly game of poker. Josh also enjoyed getting together with his many friends and spending precious time with his two beautiful children. Josh was always protective of his younger family members. He is survived by his two children, Samira, 5, and Aden, 2, of Brewer; his father, Jamshid “James” Zowghi of Ellsworth; his mother and stepfather, SueEllen M. and Elwyn Dority of Bangor; a sister, Parvanah Prescott and her fianc?, Albert Withee Jr., of Stetson; a brother, Joseph Zowghi of Bangor; two stepbrothers, Robert Dority of Bangor and Shawn Morrison of Brewer; two special nieces and one special nephew, Miranda, Melyssa and Andrew Prescott, all of Stetson; two other nephews, David Prescott Jr. of Winslow and Xavier Morrison of Portland. He is also survived by his maternal grandfather, Alfred S. Gomm Jr. of Eddington; many aunts, uncles and cousins in Maine, Florida and Texas. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother, RoGaeh Rezakani; three aunts, Johan, Mehan and Fati; two uncles, Jalal and Javid Zowghi; many nieces, nephews and cousins, all in Iran. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Mildred B. Gomm; and his paternal grandfather, Hodi Zowghi; uncle, Jay Parker and cousins, Amy Parker and Caleb Shoopman. Joshua is still and always will be greatly loved and missed by all his family and friends. A funeral service celebrating Josh’s life will be held 3 p.m. Friday, March 23, at Neighborhood Church, 263 Texas Ave., Bangor, with the Rev. Brian Haggerty, pastor, presiding. Friends may visit 2 p.m. until the time of service. A reception will be held afterward in the church fellowship room.
