LUCERNE-IN-MAINE – Joyce (Higgins) Lynch, 84, wife of the late Kenneth F. Lynch, died peacefully May 14, 2005, at her home. She was born Jan. 15, 1921, in Bangor, the daughter of George L. and Amy Higgins. She graduated from Bangor High School and attended Westbrook College. Joyce owned and operated the Lucerne Ceramic Shop for many years, where she enjoyed making blueberry ceramics. She was a former member of the Bangor Junior League. Surviving are two sons, Kenneth G. Lynch of Lucerne, Thomas J. Lynch and his wife, Susan, of Bangor; five grandchildren, Jennifer Isaacs, Tracy Lynch and Thomas J. Lynch Jr., all of Bangor, Christine Lynch of Portland and Kenneth G. Lynch Jr. of Lucerne; five great-grandchildren, Jordan Isaacs and Emily Isaacs, Hannah Lynch, Olivia Davis and Madison McKusick; three brothers, Paul Higgins, George L. Higgins Jr. and Phillip Higgins; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Richard Higgins. The family would like to thank Jeanne Hamm for all her help and support. She will be sadly missed by her family. Graveside services will be held for the family Saturday, May 21, 2005, at Mt. Hope Cemetery. A service of Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor.
