SACO – Joyce Fisher, 75, died April 24, 2004, at her residence in Saco. She was born Dec. 12, 1928, in Caribou, the daughter of Miles and Lela (Tracy) Finnemore. Joyce worked for the Aroostook Agency on Aging, in Presque Isle, as a director of the Nutrition Program for the elderly for 19 years before retiring in 1991. After retirement, she ran an antique business for several years in Patten, before moving to Saco to be near her daughter, Barbara. Joyce enjoyed hunting, fishing snowmobiling, sewing, and dressing Victorian dolls. Joyce was predeceased by husbands, Lawson A. Fisher and David R. McPherson; and daughter, Janet McPherson. She is survived by sister, Dorothy Briggs of Willimantic, Conn.; two sons, John MacPherson and wife, Priscilla, of Millinocket, and Carlton McPherson of Buffalo, N.Y.; a daughter, Barbara McCrum and husband, Scott, of Saco; four nieces; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two special friends, Ann Snow of Augusta and Amy Peers of Easton. Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St. Presque Isle. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Lawrence Beals officiating. Interment will take place at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle. Those who wish may make contributions to the American Cancer Society in Joyce’s memory.
