CHESTER – Joyce Marie Violette, 60, was called home to be with her husband, Eddie, June 5, 2007, surrounded by her loving family and friends, after a brief illness. She was born July 28, 1946, at Eagle Lake, the daughter of Maxime “Tom” and Lorraine (Saucier) Voisine. Joyce was a very colorful person, with a wonderful sense of humor. She was a loving caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was very intelligent and wise. Her advice was always on the mark and very sound. She was a very good cook and always was ready to feed an army. She loved to fish, go camping and play bingo. Joyce spent a lot of time with her family after her dear husband, Eddie died and we laughed a lot and cried a lot with her. She will be loved and missed by all those who knew and loved her. She is survived by one son, Edward “Biggy” Violette Jr. and his wife, Amanda, of Chester; two daughters, Lorraine Perro and her husband, David, of Chester and Selena Violette, and Kevin Pepin of Mattawamkeag; six brothers, Eugene Voisine and his wife, Aloma, of Chester, Roy Voisine and his wife, Norma, of Chester, Richard Voisine, Dickie Voisine and his wife, Marion, of Chester, Melvin Voisine and his wife, Donna, of Lincoln, and Tommy Voisine of Lewiston; three sisters, Judy Langerak and her husband, John, of Chester, Lucy Trott and her husband, Roger, of Lincoln and Anna LaPlante, and Frank Welch of Chester; seven grandchildren, Amanda, Michelle, Christopher, Leanna, Brandon, Nicole, and Nicholas; one great-grand-son, Ryan; her beloved dog, Chrissy; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one brother, Jimmy Voisine; and one grandson, Braddock Violette. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Thursday, June 7, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 2 p.m. Friday, June 8, at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church, Lincoln, with the Rev. Myles Cyr, celebrant.
