MARIAVILLE – Paul Leonard Knox, 57, died peacefully in his sleep June 5, 2007, at his home in Mariaville. He was born Oct. 26, 1949, in Newburyport, Mass., the son of Leonard L. and Mary C. (Page) Knox. Paul worked for many years at L.A. Gray and Viking Lumber Co. He was an avid sports fan and music lover. The love of his life was his grandson, Christopher Paul. He is survived by his mother, Mary Knox of Amesbury, Mass.; daughter, Justice Barnes of Ellsworth; his partner of many years and mother of his daughter, Joy Knox of Cherryfield; his beloved grandson, Christopher Paul Barnes; his son-in-law, Dino of Ells-worth; sisters, Anne Carleton and husband, John, of Newbury, Mass., and Mary Fournier and husband, Gary, of Amesbury, Mass.; nieces and nephews, Jaimee, Jonathan, Jeffrey, Page and Tess. He was predeceased by his father, Leonard “Buddy” Knox. Calling hours will be held 4:30-6:30 p.m. Friday, June 8, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth. A memorial service will be held in Newburyport, Mass., at a later date and announced by the family.
