BRISTOL, Conn. – Joyce W. Holmes, 70, of Bristol, widow of Willis A. Holmes, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005, at Hartford Hospital. Joyce was born Sept. 1, 1934, in Houlton, a daughter of the late Morris and Winifred (Stockford) Herrick. Her survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Wanda Holmes of Presque Isle; a daughter and a son-in-law, Lynda and Charles Bouchard of Bristol, Conn.; four brothers, Dale Herrick of Bristol, Philip Herrick of Austerlitz, N.Y., Larry Herrick of Bristol, and Garth Herrick of Plainville; a sister, Linda Morgan of Bristol; a great-granddaughter, Cailee; a foster sister, Molly Bailey of Houlton; and many nieces and nephews and cousins. Besides her husband and parents, She was predeceased by a brother, Richard Herrick; and a sister, Jayne Belanger. Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Sunday at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Avenue, Forestville. Burial will take place in the spring in Houlton.
