CORINNA – Judith Ann Jordan, 55, passed away peacefully Sept. 17, 2005, at her residence. She was born May 25, 1950, in Bangor, a daughter of James and Frances (Cairns) Dyer Sr. She attended the University of Maine. Judy loved the outdoors, especially camping, hunting, fishing, the ocean and a panoramic view. She also enjoyed country music and dancing. She was a member of the American Legion, VFW, and AmVets Auxiliaries, and the Maine Country Music Association. She was predeceased by her husband, Maurice L. Jordan III in 1996; and by her father in 2004. In addition to her mother, “Ginger”, of Corinna; she is survived by her children, Sophia Metz of Virginia, Lisa Crane and husband, Tom, of Florida, and Roy Tompkins Jr. of Tennessee; six grandchildren, Karla Dyer and Danyell Knights, both of Georgia, Falon, Dillon and Jordon Crane of Florida, and Aaron Tompkins of Tennessee; four brothers, James Dyer Jr. and wife, Patricia, of Georgia, Daniel Dyer of Corinna, Donald Dyer and wife, Lee, of Corinna, Darrell Dyer and wife, Paula, of Charleston; three nieces, Joslyn of Georgia, Ariel and Gabbie of Brewer; five nephews, Adam of Georgia, Zephaniah, Isaiah, Simeon and Josiah, all of Charleston, and Ryan of Brewer. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, at Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Newport. Interment will be at Bayside Cemetery, Eastport.
