REVERE, Mass. – Judith A. LaBeau, 57, a resident of 55 Tedford Ave., Revere, Mass., died unexpectedly at her home July 12, 2004, after a courageous battle against diabetes and cardiac problems. She was born Feb. 19, 1947, in Camp Lee, Va., the daughter of Joseph R. and Lois Small LaBeau. She was a graduate of Orono High School and Beals College. She was employed as a Yellow Pages representative by Verizon until her illness forced her to retire. An avid horse lover she rode at many shows throughout New England with her favorite horse “Travel-Lynn.” A back injury, which plagued her throughout her life, forced her to give up this pleasure. She then began to show her Afghan “Brett” at dog shows in Maine, where she earned many ribbons and entered into the apprentice judge program. She had resided in Revere, Mass., for the past eight years previously living in Warwick, R.I., and Swampscott, Mass. She is survived by her parents, Joseph R. and Lois Small LaBeau of Revere, Mass.; a brother, Joseph R. LaBeau III of Revere, Mass.; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and a Golden Retriever “Jet” for which she had a great love. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, July 16, 2004, at the Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick, with the Rev. F. Stuart Taylor, pastor of the Berean Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Brunswick. Friends and Relatives are invited to call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2004.
