BUCKSPORT – Judith S. (Merrill) Sanborn, 63, died April 12, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. She was born April 11, 1943, in Camden, the daughter of William P. and Doris (Lacombe) Merrill. Judy was a member of St. Francis By The Sea Episcopal Church, Blue Hill, DAR Ramassoc Chapter, Bucksport, the Bedtime Quilters, Hancock County Quilters, and the Bucksport Historical Society. Strong of spirit, big of heart, over flowing with love, courageous always. Judy is survived by her husband, Doug L. Sanborn of Bucksport; mother, Doris Norwood of Surry; father, William Merrill and wife, Dottie, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; daughter, Angela Lawson and husband, Kent, of Blue Hill; grandchildren, Ryan and Tyler Lawson; siblings, Bill Merrill and wife, Brenda, of Bowdoin, Nancy Benner and husband, Harold, of Waldoboro, Debra Norwood of Clark Island, Jeff Merrill of Rockland; several nieces and nephews including, Jeremy Norwood, Abigail Kelly, Matt Merrill, Nicole Merrill, Nathan Benner; many cousins including, Valerie Guisto; aunts, Priscilla Sifkey, Lorraine Dickerson, Pamela Moody, all of Greenville; uncle, Lester Lacombe and wife, Katherine, of Rockland; her forever friend, Bonnie Leeman of Orland. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, April 24, at the St. Francis By The Sea Episcopal Church, 330 Hinckley Ridge Rd., Blue Hill. In lieu of flowers, donations in Judy’s memory may be sent to any of the organizations listed that she belonged to or to St. Joseph’s Home Nursing Care, 900 Broadway, Bangor, ME 04401.
