DOVER-FOXCROFT and BIDDEFORD – Julia Caroline King Zwicker, 92, formerly of Dover-Foxcroft, died Jan. 5, 2005, at The Renaissance in Biddeford. She was born Oct. 18, 1912, in Dyer Brook, the daughter of Albert and Josephine (Good) King. She was employed as head cook of the cafeteria at Foxcroft Academy for many years. Julia enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grand-children. She was an avid gardener, loved to cook, and enjoyed spending time with her family at their camp. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 53 years, Roland M. Zwicker, on September 22, 1989; and a granddaughter, Sharyl Lee Scott, on Feb. 3, 1963. She is survived by two daughters, Sheila Chaplin and her husband, Stod, and Sharon Traigle and her husband, Bill, all of Biddeford; four grandsons, Tracy Chaplin of Biddeford, Edward Scott of Bridge City, Texas, Jeffrey Chaplin of Saco, and Christopher Traigle of Saco; three granddaughters, Tammy Phillips of Biddeford, Robin Poirier of Saco, and Jennifer Chaplin of Alfred; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, at the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, with the Rev. Neil Gastonguay officiating. Spring burial will be in the family lot in Rural Grove Cemetery.
