LUBEC – Julian C. Blanch, 79, passed away Dec. 13, 2003, in Ocala, Fla., after a brief illness. He was born in Lubec, the son of Burton and Henrietta Blanch. Julian was a dairy farmer for many years in Lubec and spent much of his life following his dream of harness racing. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Mildred (Griffin) Blanch; one brother, Lester Blanch; two sisters; Clara McFadden and Ruby Johnson. Surviving are one son, Peter Blanch and his wife, Pamela; one daughter, Julie Brown and husband, Robert. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Michael Blanch and his wife, Kelly, Sean Blanch, Jason Mallar and Ashley Tilton; one special great-granddaughter, Becca Jule Blanch; many special friends and family. Committal services will be announced in the spring by the Scott-Wilson Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais.
